This summary is here to help. The full text below is what applies.
1.The service
Grocery Tracker lets you create grocery lists, reuse the items you buy often, record prices, follow how they change over time and share lists with family and friends.
We are building Grocery Tracker step by step. Some features described on our website may not be available yet and will be added over time.
2.Price and the lifetime offer
Grocery Tracker is free to use.
Accounts created while our free lifetime offer is running keep free access to the features included in the service for as long as we operate Grocery Tracker.
We may later offer optional paid features. We will never charge you without telling you the price in advance and getting your explicit agreement.
3.Your account
You must be at least 14 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
Give accurate information when you sign up and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone has used it without your permission, tell us right away through our contact form.
Your account is personal. You may not sell it or transfer it to someone else.
4.Sharing with family and friends
When you invite someone to your family, you confirm that they agree to receive an invitation from you by email.
Everyone in a family can see and change the family’s lists, items, stores and prices, so only invite people you trust. You can leave the family at any time; what you added stays with it.
5.Your content
The lists, items, prices, notes and photos you add remain yours. In a family, they are shared with the family and stay with it if you leave.
You allow us to store, display and process your content only as needed to provide the service to you and to the people in your family. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
When you share a flyer deal with Grocery Tracker members, you also allow us to show it, with its link, to members who shop at the same chain in the same area until it ends. Share only what the store’s own flyer or website says.
You are responsible for the content you add and must have the right to add it.
6.Acceptable use
Do not use Grocery Tracker to:
- break the law or infringe the rights of others;
- send spam or unwanted invitations;
- add content that is illegal, hateful, harassing or harmful, including malicious software;
- try to access other people’s accounts or data, or test, probe or overload our systems without permission;
- share deals you know are false, or links to anything other than the store’s website or flyer;
- copy or resell the service, or access it by automated means such as scrapers or bots.
7.Prices and information
Prices, stores and other details in Grocery Tracker are entered by you and the people in your family. We do not check them and cannot guarantee that they are accurate, complete or up to date.
Deals shared by other members and deals read from store flyers are shown as they were entered or read. We do not check them and cannot guarantee that they are accurate or still available: check the store’s flyer before you rely on them. Links added by members lead to other websites, which we do not control.
Price reports and comparisons are for your personal information only. They are not financial advice.
8.Availability and changes to the service
We work hard to keep Grocery Tracker running smoothly, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors. We may need to interrupt it for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control.
We may add, change or remove features. If we decide to stop operating Grocery Tracker, we will tell you by email at least 30 days in advance so you can save a copy of your information.
9.Closing your account
You can stop using Grocery Tracker at any time and ask us to delete your account through our contact form.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or that puts the service or other users at risk. Except in urgent cases, we will first tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
10.Our responsibility
We provide Grocery Tracker with care. To the extent permitted by law, it is provided “as is”, without any guarantee other than those set out in these terms.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses, such as a forgotten item, a missed sale or a price that turned out to be wrong.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where the law does not allow it, for example for intentional or gross fault. Nothing in them affects your rights under the Quebec Consumer Protection Act or other consumer protection laws that apply to you.
11.Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the place where you live and may bring a claim before the courts of your place of residence.
12.Language
These terms are available in French and English. Both versions are equally valid.
13.Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, with the new text, the date it applies and your right to refuse it by closing your account at no cost.
If you keep using Grocery Tracker after the change takes effect, the new terms apply.
